AltaMed Health Services helps shrink the senior caregiver shortage with PACE program

20 Feb AltaMed Health Services helps shrink the senior caregiver shortage with PACE program

By 2030 about 1 in every 5 Californians will be 65 or older and will require some assistance with self-care. The current system relies heavily on unpaid family caregivers to meet the needs of people outside of medical settings. Families in California are often dependent on two incomes and there are fewer available family caregivers to step in to help. AltaMed Health Services’s Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is helping to fill that gap for low-income individuals 55 and older with health needs in Los Angeles County.
