02 May AltaMed Presents “Bridges in a Time of Walls: Mexican/Chicano Art from Los Angeles to Mexico”

“Bridges in a Time of Walls: Mexican/Chicano Art from Los Angeles to Mexico” is an exhibition that will bring an iconic collection of Chicano art from AltaMed Health Services’ Art Collection to the Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil in Mexico City in September. The collection will feature around 50 pieces of art from 28 different artists and include paintings, sculptures, immersive pieces, and more. At a recent launch party for the collection, local politicians, diplomats and artists gathered at LACMA to celebrate building bridges and overcoming distance with Mexico through art.
